An evil stepmother…two vain insulting stepsisters…and an orphan girl nicknamed Cinderella who’s forced to do their bidding. Cinderella tolerates her dysfunctional step-family’s demands with strength and dignity (and some tears), until that fateful day when she is invited to the royal ball and discovered by a prince who falls in love with not just her outer beauty but her inner beauty. Sole City Dance presents a ballet by Assaf Benchetrit, assistant professor of dance at UNH. This original work captures not just the graceful beauty of ballet, its athleticism and charm, but the deeper meanings within the story: that inner strength, dignity and core values lead to a more fulfilling and beautiful life.
